Projects, a new way to collaborate around photos and build the encyclopedia, are now open. You can find help here.
We look forward to hearing your feedback and improving the projects with you.
If you have any questions please use this forum or email us: project@fotopedia.com
Thanks!

Sounds like a good idea!
However I feel that the part for personal albums is becoming a bit invisible.
Maybe creating a link in the main page for a page exclusively for personal albums?
Just my thoughts.
I propose I new project related with the museums of the word: interiors and exteriors, collections and architectural aspects.
For collections, perhaps we will have a problem related to copyright (in many museums photographies are forbidden: at Louvre flash and tripod are not permitted), but I think for exteriors no problem will have.
For me the interesting is that collection photos they are not only a transcription of the painting or sculpture into a photo frame, but the photo should integrate the art piece with the environment of the museum, including public. Integrating environment, it could be a way to "escape" some copyright infringement.
First classification could be geographical, is the most evident (and easiest) classification to do.
HI Nilson,
Sounds like an interesting project. Here is how creating a new project works:
"Projects are handpicked for now. If you have a project idea tell us about it. First create an album using the client. There is no need to include pictures in this album, what matters is its organization of the pages, each with a relevant Wikipedia article attached. Then send us the URL of your album, together with a few lines describing the project you have in mind to project@fotopedia.com." more on projects here.
If you have questions on projects you can use that email too.
Thanks
I tried adding some photos to the Laos project, but every time I was redirected to the Flickr logon page. Is using Flickr mandatory for doing this?
As I mentioned in another post, I don't wish to give Fotopedia full access to my Flickr account, esp. not if the private content is included.
Philip,
You can add a photo by uploading it directly to the article. Check out this tutorial: http://help.fotopedia.com/entries/95114-adding-photos-add-edit-lice...
It would be great to see some of yoru work in the Laos project. Don't forget to add your photos to specific articles and not only generic ones like Laos.
So, how do you access a specific project from the fotopedia home page?
Projects are still in beta and are not searchable at the moment. In the very near future they will become searchable and you will be able to access them by using the search box. Most projects are listed in the community page although the very new ones are not, like the Seattle project you are a member of :) It will be listed in the next couple of days. Meanwhile just bookmark it.
City Projects, Sao Paulo is missing ! Thanks.
I'd like to see the city Campo Grade (Brasil) between the projects.
Thanks
Hi everybody,
Fotopedia's has buried projects forever?
I know that the new interface needs a huge development, but when the new projects will be opened again? When the new interface will point for the old ones?
Regards,
Nilson
Hello Nilson,
Fotopedia projects are still accessible using the search engine on any page.
However, our development resources are limited, and our developers are currently focused on other projects. The implementation of a new design and new tools (on the web) to create, manage and maintain projects represent a tremendous amount of work, and right now we can't set a date for the new interface.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
