Connection failed on client

If you try to connect to the client and it tells you "Connection failed", please check your login and password. Can you connect to the website? If you can't, you might want to change your password.

If your password is correct, check your firewall. It is probably blocking Fotopedia. Don't loosen your security, yet make sure Fotopedia is not blocked in any way.

Also make sure you have the latest version of Fotopedia which you can download here.

If none of this solves your issue please post below and tell us what operating system you are using.

Hi,

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate Edition. I do no have a firewall but I do connect using a router to the internet. The password and user name is working fine on the site. I would suggest to change the error message in the client from "connection failed" to "unknown user name or password" if that is the case and have "connection failed" only for connectivity issues.

Is it remote port 8014 that is used by the fotopedia client ?

Interesting!

I tried to follow the procedure to change my password but all it does is send you an email, you click on the link and shock it takes yu straight back to the main page, then if you try to change the password it repeats itself again and again....

It is necessary to update to the latest version or you won't be able to sign in.

Hi Adrian, a few days ago, my widget failed to show up at http://tommypetersbicycles.blogspot.com/ It has happened before but this time it's longer than usual. I've updated the Fotopedia application. Should I wait or is there something you can do at your end? Beers

Using windows XP and I still cannot connect. User name and password work ok in the site. Fotopedia is listed as an exception in the windows firewall. Help!
