nomination and notification

Hello again,
1.
By chance I came across my photo nominated by one of the members to the "Tracht" article.

No notification was sent to me although in the notifications settings the appropriate box is checked.
Please remove this photo as it is Irrelevant to the mention article. It presents folk costumes from the border of Poland and Lithuania.

I have a trouble with clearing the notification numbers that appear in the little circle in the upper right corner. For a few days I am able to enjoy lovely "!" exclamation mark, and have no way to make it go away.

Hello Anna,
I checked and it looks like you nominated it in the Tracht article. So you should be able to remove this photo from the article.
Regarding the notification counter, please confirm me that this is not working for you now.

Oh my... As I have already mention once I have a tendency to be absentminded but... I DID NOT nominated this photo to the Tracht article not even by mistake! I came across it in fotopedia client while checking on the new articles that I have just created - fold (geology), hydrosphere and others. There it was in its full glory between Clothes iron and Van Mieu.
So we have a case of a mystery nominator... my dear Watson!
I will remove it anyway but maybe not right away to leave a time for a possible investigation.
Regarding the notification counter: no changes, still "!" and no way to reset it.

I just want to mention that my notification counter also displays a "!" and it's been like that for several days...
