Nominating 47 photos at once

Welcome again!

1. Is there still a possibility to add more than 5 photos to one article at once? 47 photos?!

2. Does it have anything to do with the editorial access?

3. What are the "rights and obligation" of an editor of the project?

4. Is the fact of being active in the project and the fact of having just an ample amount of photos from the region is enough to be granted the editorial access?

Enjoy your weekend, Anna

Good questions. I'd say that it doesn't make a lot of sense of letting somebody add that many pictures to an article, considering that Fotopedia is about "quality" and not "quantity" and that i'd rather have five excellent, relevant, well composed and technically sound pictures than 47 mediocre and  partly fuzzy ones (i went quickly through those shots and it seems that editing had been non existant...). Let's just vote down on those which are not good enough....

Couldn't agree more with Gilbert. a limit of 5 photos per article forces one to make a selection and post only the best... which is what we're looking for on Fotopedia, right ?

In the same line of thought, I wonder if we could also have a limit on how many articles a single photo can be added to. For example, a photo can currently be added to :
- Jet d'Eau
- fountain
- Lake Geneva
- Geneva
- Canton of Geneva
- Switzerland
- Europe
- ...

In my opinion, this is too mcuh. Perhaps a limit of 2 or 3 articles per photo would be a solution to avoid this...

Hi everybody,

For me it is also amazing to see a same photo in several pages. I completely agree with Brigitte to limit  the number of articles that a same photo can appear.

Fotopedia

Hello Anna.

1. Yes there is a possibility, and this is a loophole in the client. You may have noticed that we are no longer supporting the client with updates and new features. We are working to give you the best experience to upload and manage Fotopedia articles using the web. In the meantime, the client is still useful for people to manage projects and albums, and we are inviting people to respect the 5 photos per article limit per day. We are warning users who are not respecting this limit and most are very compliant with the rule.

2. No this is not linked.

3. Maintaining, documenting the project and adding suggestions from other users

4. Projects are currently in a process of redesign, so we are not allowing new projects to be created. But if you are active in the area and have good knowledge of the place, this can be a great opportunity to manage the project and share your knowledge.

Regarding Brigitte question the more a photo is documented, the more it is valuable for the article. Of course if you notice a photo being in too many articles, and not being relevant enough to those articles, you can notice us.
