Hi, 2nd time I am being flagged for optical aberration. The first time, I asked for further explanation so that I at least do not commit the same mistake again, but nothing forthcoming from both the flagger and moderators (http://help.fotopedia.com/entries/20739327-please-help-photo-remove...).

The photo in concern this time round is (http://www.fotopedia.com/wiki/Hiking#!/items/6k6j675ngmrbp-ne2VuVZqDAE). Pls tell me what is wrong with this? I would very much appreciate more specifics. This photo was voted up twice. I believe it is also only fair for those who voted for this voted but got penalized to know the specific reasons.

Thanks!

Moonie,

Your photo has obviously been taken with a wide-angle lense... And one of the basic rules when shooting with this type of equipment is "Don't put people in the corners!".  You can find out more about this here: http://www.themagicinpixels.com/content/photography-101/114-tips-for-using-an-ultra-wide-angle-lens.html (see rule #5).

My guess is that your photo was removed because the poor lady on the left really seems in very bad shape!  ;o)

Hi Brigitte, thanks for your feedback and link. Much appreciated! Totally didn't know about the rule. Very much agree the lady in question will not be the happiest seeing herself in the photo :-)
