Points deducted for voted photos that are unfeatured

Hi there, can't find any infor on this. Any clarifications would be much appreciated. I noticed that when featured photo that I voted up for is unfeatured, I get penalized. I understand when I vote for a photo, it gets featured, I get points, and when it is unfeatured, the points are removed. But for featured photos that I voted up for, I don't get any points with regards to it being featured, but yet I get penalized when it is unfeatured. Is this a bug or a new policy?

If you vote up on a photo that got featured, you gain 1 point. If the photo is unfeatured, you loose this point. In your case, you voted up this photo x2, so the results is +2 if the photo is featured, but -2 if the photo is unfeatured. The reputation system doesn't remove more points that you got first on this rule.
However, you didn't get +2 points for this photo being featured as you were above the daily points limit.
