Would it be possible to nominate photos to a different article when looking at the picture in another article? This would avoid having to search for particular photos from the nomination selection screen. Not on an easy task if there are a large number of photos linked to a particular article. Also, newly added photos often don't seem to appear in the search results until some days after they are added.

Yes Stephen, we are working on a tool to help you select photos from an article, and submit them to another article. This is still in beta-testing, but you can already have access to this tool from the top bar.
When browsing articles, there is a clipboard near the notification counter, clicking on it will deploy an empty clipboard where you can drag and drop photos from articles. Photos added there will be saved in your session, and you can get them from any article on Fotopedia.
Simply drag a photo to the center of your screen when you are in the desired article, and the photo will be nominated. Please check the size of the image as you won't be warned if the photo is under the minimum size requirement.
This is still a test, so if you encounter a problem, please send a message to our dev team using this form.
Regarding newly added photos, they need to be indexed before appearing on the search results, but this shouldn't take too much time. If you think a photo is not appearing in the search results, please contact our dev team.
Thanks
