Hello,
I'm just back from a trip to Tibet and placed the first image, which is 1600x1600 in size. It is streched and upper and lower are cut off:

Would request that square images are displayed as they are.

Hello Axel.
Glad to have you back.
You are in fill view. For square images, or landscape images, the best is to be in fit view. Simply double click on the middle of the image, or use the fit/fill button on the top left of the action menu to switch the view.
Hi Damien,
thanks for clarification, didn't know that there are two modi.
Cheers,
Axel
Hi,
I have always thought that was a flaw in FP. I think I am correct in saying that the default mode is 'fill view'. I think the default should be 'fit view' so that the images can be judged correctly. It is possible that some negative voting is because many images look strangely cropped in 'full view'. I have to remember to change to 'fit view' before voting. I find it strange that there is a 'full view' option at all as it spoils so many pictures. I also believe that in the stories many of the images become strangely cropped because there is only 'fill mode'. Apologies if I have misunderstood.

+1 with Ann.
Agree with Ann. Default should be "fit view", so that noobs like me are not confused...
