I have a proposition to do about voting system.
It is important for each one to know why your photo is negatively appreciate. I always prefer indicate as inappropriate (giving a reason) rather than make a negative voting. If I don't like the photo, but it is technical acceptable, I simply don't vote. If the photo has an infringement (quality chart, moral rules, etc.), I use the inappropriate button.

100% agree, the negative voting needs to have a justification/feedback for the author/curator.
100% agree, I recently raised this subject to moderator;
ZERO points has been assigned by someone I very wonder who he OR she is ??
Because , I could not find what the reason behind of this, Zero points mean they did not where they were supposed to be, they did not deserve any point, in past I faced lots of event like this, most of (I believe) great picture eliminated with no reason ??
IMHO, maybe ,it is better if voter must be forced to put an detail about negative points by fotopedia ,such as "why you think the photo is not suitable for the subject" ,without reasons no one should not assign negative points without an explanation.
I have opened this subject almost one year ago, and nothing has been changed about voting rules. Others people throughout the forum have proposed new rules about voting (see http://help.fotopedia.com/entries/318004-modify-voting-system). I would like that someone inside Fotopedia gives us a feedback about it.
Hello Nilson,
As Raphie mentioned it here, we're working on improvements in the voting system that should improve the quality and usefulness of votes, including the negative ones.
Cool Damien, keep us posted about this!
Thanks Damien. I just posted a comment there.
Thank you Damien!
I am supporting this case. I can imagine many motives for voting down - for example somebody have to empty some place on the server, or somebody`s feeling of style is much different, or for some technical reasons invisible for the author... But all of those thoughts are just fantasy. If I want to improve quality of my work I deserve some minimal advises. Thats all. So good you are working on it. Thanks
You can always post a link to your photo, in the photo feedback topic, to get some suggestions on why it has been voted down.
