Your profile is your Fotopedia identity. Make it beautiful!
Here are several ways to do it:
Log in and click on your name on the top right of the website. Then click on Edit on the left of the header. It is all there!
Go to your profile on the web and click "Edit". You have to be logged in to see the button. You will be able to chose your avatar and header photo among already uploaded photos, any photo on Fotopedia or a photo you want to upload.
Tell us more about yourself. When I see great photos on Fotopedia I am curious to learn more about the person who added them.
Tip: You can use html in the about me edition box. For example, to add links insert the following code and adapt it to your link: <a href="http://www.fotopedia.com">Fotopedia</a>
Your photos news brings you the photo activity of people, articles and projects you care about enough to follow them.
You can access it on your profile with the "show me my news" button. And also receive your news by email (edit your profile to chose which emails you get and when)/.
Following allows you to get news about photos from articles and projects you like. It is also a way to find good contributors and vote for the photos they add.
To follow a user use the big green button on his profile. For an article click 'Follow' in the 'Actions' menu. For a project, become a member.
No, no notifications will be sent. Although the article definitely wouldn't like it.
If you can't remember your password go here. We will send you your password via email.
To change your password: go on the web, log in and go to your profile page. Click on the change password tab and... change your password!
It depends. Some user could choose their username. Their custom URL is http://www.fotopedia.com/user/'your username'. Others have a long and complicated chain of characters instead. You will be able to change your username, it is in our plans.
You don't have to enter your real name. We ask for your first and last name but you can enter any name in those fields. To do so log in, go to your profile page and in the action menu chose 'Edit Profile'.
Your Fotopedia profile is very well ranked in Google. This is an opportunity for you to tell others about yourself in a nice display. You can also add a link to your own website. It will benefit from the ranking.
If you don't want your profile in search results you can change your first and last name by editing your profile. Google will then not be able to find you anymore (please allow a few days for this to happen).
By deactivating your profile you become a former member. Your photos remain in Fotopedia, but you don't receive any emails from us. If you decide to join Fotopedia again you'll just have to login and your account will be activated again.
Deleting your account will delete all your contributions to Fotopedia. It will leave Fotopedia as if you had never been there. To delete your account please send an email with the email used to create the account to contact@fotopedia.com.
