I think it's very important. recently I added a picture by error and I can't delete this photo. Please, It's definitely a priority!!!!!

It's a great priority to be able to delete own photos !!!!      

Only to repeat what others have written, it is not just that you may have put up a bad photo, on reflection, but you may later decide that it is not quite right for the article and want to remove it. It will save cluttering up articles with photos that do not suit. May be if a picture gets -5 votes it is removed from the nominations for an article.

You can now remove your photos from encyclopedia articles.

To remove a photo from an encyclopedia article use the "x" button in red below.

This will remove the photo from the article. The photo will still be in Fotopedia and in other articles.

If the photo is not yours this button will be replaced by a "report as inappropriate" button. Use it to report any photo that should be removed. The author of the photo or admins will take care of it.

We will soon allow you to delete completely any photo you add to the encyclopedia. Thanks for your patience until then.

All photography owners must have the right to withdraw their photos from Fotopedia, otherwise it is theft. I also uploaded a photo in error and want it removed.

This is an important functionality we have missing. We implemented the ability to remove your photo from encyclopedia articles as you can read in the comment above.

Until you can remove totally your photos from the encyclopedia, we took care of it for you. We can do it when it is an emergency. You will soon be able to do this yourself.

It doesn't work. I couldn't remove my own photos from article. After I click the "X" button. The photo I chose to delete is there still.

Hi everyone!

I have joined Fotopedia recently and yes, it's really disturbing I cannot delete my pic  from my photos. Sometimes you learn later that a pic is not suitable, if it is for quality not good enough or some other reason. In cases like this, everyone wants to get rid of the pic not just from the article but also from portfolio. It would be nice if i could permanently delete some of my photos!

Yes, would be great to have this major feature at hand.

It will be good to have number of votes for each photograph and delete button at listing page so that we can clean up all photographs which are inappropriate or not voted enough.

You can now delete definitely your photos from Fotopedia. Explanations on how to use the feature are here.

Deleting a photo will remove it from the site. Removing a photo allows for a more granular control in order to remove a photo from an article only.
